Newsletter & E-Updates:

MAOFP distributes monthly e-newsletters with up-to-date information that spans from board activities, conference information, current legislation and local health care news. You can also follow MAOFP on social media for updates on a daily basis!

Health Care Leadership & Legislators:

MAOFP has built a strong rapport with health care leaders and legislators in the state of Michigan. We work to keep you informed and bring you closer to the legislators that make decisions on bills that affect your practices and your lives.

Every year, in February, MAOFP joins together with MAFP for Advocacy Day. At this event physicians get to sit down with legislators to discuss the issues that matter to them, and their patients, most. To attend the next event, you can learn more by visiting our Advocacy Day page.

The MAOFP serves as a large network of information and acts as a sounding board for issues which are important to you. We have staff that are happy to work with you to locate specific information related to family medicine, connect you with members or even your legialstors.

MAOFP offers online community forums and groups where you can interact with other members of MAOFP. Join a group, receive notifications, ask questions and/or begin a new group or forum yourself. This is a great way to communicate with professionals in your industry on issues or news that matters to you.

A Voice at ACOFP:

The MAOFP has a delegation that actively participates in the Congress of Delegates (COD) held each year at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars.  MAOFP puts forth resolutions to be considered and acted upon at the national level. As a member of MAOFP you can participate in resolution writing or serve as a delegate to vote on behalf of Michigan members at the COD.
