Spartan Street Medicine (SSM) is a MSUCOM student-run organization bringing together osteopathic medical students and physicians to regularly provide basic health services directly to our underserved community members in the day shelters and on the streets of Lansing, MI. Our primary purpose is to connect, or reconnect, our patients to primary care for sustainable maintenance of their health and well-being. We strive to adapt our patient-centered model to overcome socioeconomic barriers to care and meet the unique needs of each patient we serve.

Get Involved

We need attending physicians! If you are an empathetic physician who is passionate about serving the underserved, we would love to have you on our team! This role is laidback with low time-commitment (~4 hours x 1 day/month or bimonthly). SSM can work around your schedule.

In addition, we need Primary Care Physicians to whom we may refer patients for sustainable care. If you practice in the Lansing area, please let us know if we may refer any patients to you.
