Imposter Syndrome

October 4, 2021 | 7:30 - 8:30 PM

Dr. Myral Robbins and Ms. Samantha MacKay-Forton

The Virtual Physician Lounge is a series of meetings in which DOs are invited to come together to discuss relevant topics and learn from one another. This is a free opportunity available for both members and non-members.

Imposter Syndrome is the feeling that you haven’t earned your success, you simply got lucky, and you’re a fraud or an imposter around people who actually earned it and know what they’re doing. It is an increasing prevalent issue in the high-stakes and evaluative culture of medicine.

This event seeks to generate a conversation by exploring stereotypes including gender, culture and style and offering tactics to overcome the sense of not owning your innate skills and earning your own success. Participation is complimentary for physicians, residents and medical students.
